Dr. Ashok Shah was born in Sojitra, Anand District in the State of Gujarat, India. At the age of 15 he began to have dreams about becoming a doctor after witnessing his town doctor help people in need. He finished medical school in Baroda and decided to come to the United States at the age of 28 and as a newlywed. He completed the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates’ qualifying exam in the Philippines and after completing his residency at Jamaica Hospital in New York, he came to Titusville to practice internal medicine where he has been serving the community for over 25 years.
Dr. Shah was appointed a Parrish Medical Center board member by the City of Titusville and has dedicated himself not only to his family but to advocating on the behalf of medical staff, patients, and the community.
